Kind not mined, since 1993.

A LETTER TO YOU

At Heavenly London, sustainability isn’t something we add on at the end. It shapes how we design, the materials we choose, the partners we work with, and the pace at which we grow. We are a small, second-generation female-led business, and our size gives us something special: the ability to choose consciously, act quickly, and stay accountable.

Since 1993, our mission has stayed the same:
to create beautiful, modern jewellery without the environmental cost of mined stones.

This year, as a newly Certified B Corp, we’re proud to share how we’re living that mission  and where we’re pushing ourselves further.

1. OUR PURPOSE

We exist to offer an alternative to traditional fine jewellery:
high-quality, hand-finished pieces made with ethical stones, recycled metals, and transparent pricing.

Our values guide every decision we make:

  • Kind not mined
We don’t use mined stones of any kind not diamonds, not gemstones.

  • Transparency
We speak plainly about materials, pricing, and how things are made.

  • Low-waste production
We design in small batches and shift more each year to made-to-order.

  • Fair and responsible partnerships
We work with long-standing suppliers who share our standards.

  • Longevity over trends
We design pieces you’ll want to wear for years.

2. MATERIALS THAT MATTER

Your jewellery should feel good and be good.

Recycled Metals

  • 100% recycled sterling silver is used across our entire silver range.

  • Our solid-gold pieces use recycled 10–14k gold wherever available, with a commitment to reach 100% recycled gold in the next cycle.

Recycled metals dramatically reduce the energy, water and chemical use associated with mining  and they’re identical in quality.

Ethical Stones (Never Mined)

We do not use mined diamonds or mined gemstones in any part of our business.

Instead, we choose:

  • Moissanite for its fire, durability and brilliance

  • Lab-grown diamonds for customers who prefer a diamond’s signature sparkle

  • Cubic zirconia as a beautiful, accessible alternative

  • Synthetic lapis lazuli and other synthetics, chosen intentionally to avoid problematic mining industries

These stones deliver beauty and longevity without the environmental destruction or ethical issues of large-scale mining.

Responsible Materials – What We’re Improving

In the spirit of transparency, these are the only materials we use that don’t meet B Corp’s “responsible materials” definition:

  • Recycled metals (still classed as natural resource use)

  • Silicone/rubber earring backs

  • Occasional non-FSC outer components when supply is disrupted

  • Minimal protective plastics used only to prevent damage in transit

We’re working to reduce these further.

3. ETHICAL PRODUCTION

We believe good jewellery should come from good places.

Our Supply Chain

We work with a small number of trusted suppliers in:

  • Thailand — long-standing partners with strong labour, safety and environmental standards

Our workshops offer:

  • Fair wages

  • Safe working environments

  • No child labour

  • Strong ethical frameworks (aligned with SMETA-style processes)

  • Transparent documentation for every piece made

We maintain close relationships through regular virtual check-ins and in-person visits.

Craftsmanship

Every Heavenly London piece is hand-finished.
This allows for better quality control, cleaner finishing, and less waste.

Small-Batch & Made-to-Order

We keep production intentionally tight:

  • Fewer seasonal styles

  • More focus on versatile classics

  • Growing made-to-order offering

  • Minimal dead stock or unsold pieces

This reduces overproduction and keeps the environmental footprint low.

4. PACKAGING & OPERATIONS

Packaging

Our packaging is designed to protect your jewellery and protect the planet.

We use:

  • FSC-certified jewellery boxes

  • Recycled and recyclable tissue

  • Recycled outer packaging

  • Plastic-free customer-facing packaging

Any protective plastics used in transit are minimal and only when absolutely necessary.

Sustainable Operations

  • Remote-first working to reduce unnecessary commuting

  • Studio powered by energy-efficient processes

  • Recycling and waste reduction embedded into daily operations

  • Consolidated shipments to reduce freight emissions

  • Carbon footprint measurement underway

  • Carbon offsetting planned for 2025

We are continuously tightening our operational footprint as the business grows.

5. OUR TEAM & COMMUNITY

Female-Led, Family-Run

Heavenly London is proudly:

  • Second-generation

  • Female-owned

  • Female-led

  • Powered by a two-woman core team with wider support from female creatives

We offer flexible working, a supportive culture, and wellbeing-first practices for all freelancers and partners.

Charity & Impact

We believe beautiful things should do good things too.

This year:

  • Our collaboration with L&C Lay donates 15% to Womankind Worldwide, supporting women’s rights globally.

  • We continue to support women-focused charities and local projects.

  • We are formalising an annual charitable giving plan for 2025.

6. B CORP — A PROUD MILESTONE

Achieving Certified B Corp status was a major moment for us — made even more meaningful because it was done entirely in-house by our two-woman team.

B Corp recognised our strengths in:

  • Ethical materials

  • Transparent supply chain

  • Community engagement

  • Women-led governance

  • Low-waste, small-batch production

  • Strong customer education

But certification isn’t the finish line. It’s the framework we use to grow responsibly.

7. LOOKING AHEAD: OUR GOALS FOR 2025–2026

Environmental Goals

  • Reach 100% recycled gold across all solid-gold pieces

  • Reduce emissions via smarter, consolidated shipping

  • Launch a repair, restoration and re-wear programme

8. OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU

We are proud of what we have built  but more importantly, we are committed to building better.

Our promise:
To create jewellery that is beautiful, responsible, fairly priced, and made with care for you, for the planet, and for the generations who will wear it next.

Thank you for choosing to support a small, female-led, B Corp–certified business.
You are part of the reason we can keep doing things the right way.

Kind not mined,
Heavenly London
